North Korea Missile: America’s Vice President Kamala Harris, who visited South Korea on Thursday, called North Korea’s missile test unstable. Actually Kamala Harris visited DMZ, the demilitarized area that divides Korea into two different parts. On the other hand, North Korea tested two short-range missiles.
Amid tensions between China and Taiwan and North Korea’s missile tests, Harris said he had discussed the missile tests with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yol in Seoul. On the other hand, the White House has also issued a statement. The White House said US Vice President Kamala Harris and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yol condemned the DPRK’s provocative nuclear rhetoric and that North Korea tested a ballistic missile in violation of the UN Security Council.
North Korea has conducted missile tests several times
South Korea claimed on Wednesday that North Korea had fired a ballistic missile towards its eastern waters. This claim was made at a time when Kamala Harris was about to visit South Korea on Thursday. The missile test by North Korea has created an atmosphere of tension in the region. This is not the first time that North Korea has fired a missile under the leadership of dictator Kim Jong. Earlier last week, North Korea had fired another missile.
What about South Korea?
South Korea says that the tension is increasing due to the missile test being conducted by North Korea. North Korea is trying to send a big message by repeatedly testing missiles. North Korea has conducted the most missile tests in the year 2022. North Korea has tested more than 30 ballistic weapons since 2017. Significantly, US Vice President Kamala Harris arrived in South Korea on Thursday after attending the funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo last week. Kamala Harris can also discuss North Korea’s growing nuclear threat during her South Korea visit.
