NIA engaged in investigation
According to MHA, a team of NIA has reached Amaravati and will take over the investigation. The team is probing the matter and taking information from Maharashtra Police. In a tweet, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the MHA has handed over the investigation of the case related to the brutal murder of Umesh Kolhe in Amravati to the NIA. The conspiracy behind the murder, the involvement of the organizations and international relations will be thoroughly investigated.
CCTV footage of the incident surfaced
Maharashtra ATS team is currently investigating the matter. ATS sources said that they are probing whether there is any terrorist angle in the case.
