Sheeba never did athletics at the school level, nor was anyone inspired to become an athlete later. The daily running and brisk walking to reach the cashew factory in time for two meals a day made him an athlete.
Sheeba, a 38-year-old mother of two who works in a factory as well as at home, is winning medals not only in the country but internationally as a Masters athlete. Shiba of Mayyanad has to go to play in the Asian Masters Athletics to be held in Philippines in November, but she does not have Rs 1.5 lakh to go there. Till now no one has come forward to help him.
