Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma have started the Seva initiative. Through this initiative, the couple will help the needy people. For this, Virat Kohli and Anushka have merged their respective non-profit organizations. Earlier both of them were helping people through different organisations.
Virat and Anushka’s new non profit organization has been named SEVA. Anushka and Virat issued a joint statement saying, “In the words of Khalil Gibran, life indeed gives life – while we, who consider ourselves givers, are merely witnesses. Keeping this spirit in mind, ‘Seva’ Through this we have decided to work together with the aim of reaching out to more and more people.The work of ‘Seva’ will not be limited to any particular issue, as it will continue to work for social good and for humanity, Which is very much needed at this time.”
Virat Kohli will continue to give scholarships for the upliftment of sports. He will also continue to sponsor athletes. Anushka Sharma will be active in works related to the welfare of animals. Through their new joint organization service, both the celebrities will identify and help those in need. The aim of the service is to help the society at large.
Anushka Sharma has not been very active in films after the birth of her daughter as she is fulfilling her duties as a mother and spends more time with daughter Vamika. She will next be seen in Chakda Express, a film based on the life of former Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. At the same time, Virat Kohli will appear in the IPL after the ODI series against Australia.
Kohli ended his drought of hundreds in Test cricket this year as well and played a brilliant innings in Ahmedabad. Now fans are expecting a great performance from him in IPL as well.
