The excitement was doubled when I was asked to lead the contingent at the opening ceremony. He said that usually it is a challenge to attend the opening ceremony as I have my event the very next day, but this time I felt that I should challenge myself. Mirabai aims to win a gold medal at the World Championships this year and the Asian Games next year. At the same time, Sanjita, who won silver, said – This is a special moment for me, but congratulations to Mirabai. He deserves all the praise for his brilliant effort. It feels great to compete in national sports and represent my state. Last time (in Kerala 2015), I won gold in the lower weight category, but after seven years, the level of competition definitely goes up.
