Wrestlers, who staged a sit-in at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar this January over sexual harassment and other issues, demonstrated again in April. The wrestlers are demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan. On May 28, the wrestlers marched towards the new Parliament building. He was arrested by the Delhi Police on this. However, all were later released. The performance of the wrestlers has received a lot of support. If you look at famous sports personalities, players from cricket to football have raised their voice for him.
India’s medal winners have got the support of the players of the 1983 World Cup winning team. These include many legendary cricketers including Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar and Madanlal.
