Serbia’s veteran tennis player Novak Djokovic has confirmed his place in the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Open. Djokovic defeated Hubert Hurkacz of Poland, winning his 32nd consecutive win in this tournament. The 36-year-old defending champion defeated Hurkaj in a four-set contest. He won the match 7-6(6) 7-6(6) 5-7 6-4. Djokovic, winner of 23 Grand Slams, will face seventh seed Andrey Rublev of Russia in the quarterfinals.

On one hand, Djokovic won, but on the other hand fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece had to face defeat. He was upset by unseeded Christopher Eubanks of America. Eubanks is playing in the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time. He has made it to the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam for the first time. Eubanks defeated Tsitsipas 3-6, 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Tsitsipas is the first top-5 ranked player Eubanks has beaten.
