Italy beat South Korea 2-1 in the semi-finals to book a place in the final of the Under-20 Football World Cup, where they will face Uruguay late on Sunday night. Italy and Uruguay will try to get this trophy for the first time. In the other semi-final, Uruguay defeated Brazil 1–0.
Italy has made it to the final for the first time. At the same time, Uruguay has made it to the final twice in 1997 and 2013 and has faced defeat in both. In 1997, Argentina defeated him while in 2013, he was defeated by France.
Around 20,000 fans came to watch the match between Italy and South Korea and it was the best match of the tournament. Italy’s goalkeeper Sebastiano Desplanches and South Korea’s Kim Joon-Hong were the best in the match from start to finish.
Chezare Casade opened Italy’s account in the 14th minute. However, South Korea did not take long to equalize the match and got a penalty. South Korea’s Lee Seung-Won scored a penalty in the 23rd minute to make it 1-1. The first half was equal to 1-1. Italy started the scoring in the second half. Simone Pafundi scored in the 86th minute to give Italy a vital 2–1 lead, which the team held on to win in the end.
