More people chose solo trip
According to Airbnb, Indians searched for the most popular cities in the world. Many people chose the option of solo trip instead of group traveling. Solo trip has emerged as the most famous traveling option in the July-September quarter of last year (2022). The local community got a lot of benefits due to traveling in less popular destinations and the tourism sector also got a boost. Indians in their country have made plans to visit states like Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Maharashtra and Telangana.
Expectations this year too
In the third quarter of the year 2022, the cities for which Indian tourists gathered maximum information about going abroad were cities like Dubai, Paris, London, Toronto and New York. Delhi, Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa and Himachal Pradesh are the top rated cities on Airbnb for hospitality. Last year, the most searched domestic spots were Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata. Amanpreet Bajaj, General Manager of Airbnb, says that it is expected that people will go on foreign trips this year like last year. Apart from this, they will also visit such places in India, which are not included in the popular tourist destination. Statistics show that the highest number of bookings in India last year were done for Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Goa and Hyderabad.
