Indian table tennis players Manika Batra and Achant Sharath Kamal suffered pre-quarterfinal defeats in the singles category of the WTT Contenders. Both the Indian players suffered identical 0-3 defeats against their higher-ranked players.
Manika went down 11-13, 5-11, 14-16 to world No. 11 Shin Yubin of Korea while Sharath went down against world No. 16 Lin Shidong of China 6-11, 7-11, 5- Got defeated by 11. In doubles, the Indian pair of Diya Chitale and Sreeja Akula has reached the semi-finals. They will next face Korean pair of Shin Yubin and Jihee Jeon.
