Sameer Verma has won the Slovenia Open badminton title. He defeated Su Li Yang of Chinese Taipei in straight games 21-18, 21-14 in the singles final played on Sunday. In the mixed doubles final, the pair of Rohan Kapoor and N Sikki Reddy had to settle for silver after going down 12-21, 13-21 to Denmark’s Jesper Toft and Klara Gravesen. In the semi-finals, the pair defeated Mads Vestergaard and Christine Busch of Denmark 21-15, 21-19 to enter the final.
