With the rebellion of the Wagner group, conditions for a civil war have arisen in Russia. The Wagner Group, which brought success to Russia in the Ukraine war, has opened a front against its own country and everyone is worried about this situation. Yevgeny Prigozhin, 62, is now threatening a coup in Moscow. Meanwhile, Russian chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov said that Russia has been in a mafia state for a long time and that Russia had collapsed years ago. He said “As I said, there is no Russian state, there is no political chain of command and the complete failure in Ukraine has exposed this. Now who will follow whose orders? If Prigozhin is still alive and in the next 24 If we were free for hours, we would have entered a new era.

The grandmaster said Russia is a mafia front with factions fighting each other for money, resources and power, and the current situation is a clear indication that Putin has not been able to control the factions from infighting. In a lengthy Twitter thread, Garry Kasparov said Putin or anyone else is unlikely to change the situation as they face “threats and instability”.

Garry Kasparov wrote “Don’t let what the mafia is now showing openly in Russia distract from the goal of Ukrainian conquest. It’s time to accelerate, not hesitate. If you agree that in Russia” “let them all lose” is the ideal, so victory is the way to reach it. Glory to Ukraine… Please bear in mind that more than usual, everything emanating from the Kremlin and Russians in general will be a lie. And it’s about control. Such people will not admit that they were drowning on a lifeboat.”

Garry Kasparov said, “As the successes on the Ukrainian battlefield increase, the difficulties in Russia grow longer and faster. Defeat is always an orphan… scapegoats will be found and their assets will be confiscated.” But ultimately those responsible will be held accountable.”

What is happening in Russia?

Yevgeny Prigozhin criticized the Russian military leadership for launching attacks on his men for months. Now he has stepped up the attack on what appears to be the most serious challenge Putin has faced since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war. Yevgeny Prigozhin was known as Putin’s confidant, as Prigozhin and Putin are very old friends. Both were born in Leningrad. Yevgeny Prigozhin is also known as Putin’s chef, as the restaurants he owns provide service for the Kremlin.

The security services have reacted to Yevgeny Prigogine’s call for a coup and demanded his arrest. Security has been increased in Moscow and Rostov-on-Don. Prigozhin claimed that his forces had crossed into Russia from Ukraine and reached Rostov. He said, “Whoever comes in our way, we will destroy him.”

Prigozhin called this armed march of his people not a military coup, but a ‘march of justice’. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee, which is part of the Federal Security Services, or FSB, accused Prigozhin of calling for an armed insurrection, which carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
