  • Nine different forms of the Goddess are worshiped in the normal Navratri. But in Gupta Navratri, worshipers do the worship of ten Mahavidyas.
  • Gupta Navratri is especially important for people associated with Tantric rituals, Shakti Sadhana and Mahakal etc. In this the seeker also has to follow strict rules and do sadhna along with fasting.
  • There is such a belief regarding Gupta Navratri that during this period Lord Vishnu is in the period of sleep and in such a situation the divine powers start to weaken. At this time the effect of Rudra, Yama, Varun etc. starts increasing on the earth. For the protection of these calamities, 10 Mahavidyas are worshiped in Gupta Navratri.
