Khelo India Youth Games: Haryana became the winner of Khelo India Youth Games by beating Maharashtra on the last day

The boxers of Haryana achieved the distinction of becoming the winner of Khelo India Youth Games by putting a golden punch on 10 gold medals on the final day. Haryana and Maharashtra were tied with 41-41 gold on Monday morning. Maharashtra boys overtook Haryana by winning Malkhamb Pol and Kho-Kho gold in boys and girls in the morning. Haryana girls then narrowed the gold medal margin by beating Himachal Pradesh 29-28 in a thrilling handball fight, but as soon as it came to boxing. Haryana left Maharashtra far behind. The winning trophy was handed over to Haryana by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and Minister of State for Sports Nishith Parmanik.
