The Indian hockey team suffered a 2-4 defeat at the hands of Great Britain in the European leg of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Pro League on Saturday. A day earlier, the Indian team was defeated by Belgium 2-1. This is India’s second consecutive defeat. In the sixth minute, Timothy opened the account for the hosts but seven minutes later, Harmanpreet equalized through a penalty corner.

Sorbi Thomas scored Britain’s second goal in the 31st minute. Two minutes later, Lee Morton increased Britain’s lead to 3–1. Once again Harmanpreet scored from the penalty corner (42nd minute). Now Harmanpreet has scored 35 goals in Pro League. Nicholls scored Britain’s fourth goal in the 53rd minute.
