In the words of Dr. Madanki himself – Life took a turn once again and a beautiful wind of change entered life in the form of Dr. Anil Nahar Vaidya. This is from the year 2017. I met Dr. Anil at a concert. The rapprochement grew and when Anil, the owner of a pleasant, very positive personality, very easily made a place in my life, it was not known when. Our love for music tied us together and we tied the knot at the end of 2019. After marriage we shifted from Mumbai to Kolkata and started practicing here. For me it was like living life from the beginning. Anil had a boon from Maa Saraswati. He used to sing very well. So we both sing, laugh and live every moment of life together. But life is never that simple. Corona knocked in March 2020 and I got an even bigger shock in April 2020 when Anil was diagnosed with lung cancer. The disease was so severe that we did not even notice and was directly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Perhaps while treating people, we had ignored ourselves somewhere. I was shocked. I could not understand what to do? But Anil was still full of life and positivity. For 9 months he struggled with the disease in the midst of unbearable pain. We spent every moment with each other. Sometimes we would sing together when we felt better, sometimes we would cry with a hug, sometimes we would laugh at this blow of destiny. Almost the entire lockdown passed like this and one day Anil said goodbye to this world by giving me the light of his smile and courage.

People say that time is the cure for every pain. Today 18 months have passed since this thing but even for a moment I could not erase that pain. So music has become my support. I started singing again. I now have close to 4000 followers on Facebook and have been invited to perform at many events. I have started learning music again. I believe that music has that power that creates a flow of positive energy within you. With Anil’s enthusiasm and smile, I have started living life again. Whenever I sing, it seems that he is with me, standing near me, encouraging me.
