Krishnapingala Sankashti Chaturthi 2023 in June: According to the Panchang, special worship of Lord Ganesha is done and fasting is observed on Chaturthi Tithi which falls in Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha of every month. Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha is called Sankashti Chaturthi (2023) and Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha is called Vinayaka Chaturthi (Vinayak Chaturthi 2023).

The first Chaturthi fast in the month of Ashadha will be observed on Wednesday, 07 June 2023. According to Hindu beliefs, God is worshiped on Chaturthi and Wednesday. In such a situation, Sankashti Chaturthi falling on Wednesday is considered very auspicious. Worshiping Ganesh ji by keeping a fast on Sankashti Chaturthi removes the obstacles and problems coming in life. On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, if you also want to please Lord Ganesha and get his blessings, then definitely include these things dear to God in your worship.

Must include these things in Sankashti Chaturthi Puja

  • Modak: Modak is very dear to Lord Ganesha. That’s why modak must be offered in the worship of Ganesha. Without this the worship of Gauri’s son Ganesha is considered incomplete.
  • Red Flowers: To please Ganesha, definitely include his favorite things in the worship. Lord Ganesha likes red colored flowers. Along with this, he also loves marigold flowers very much.
  • Vermilion: Any worship of Ganesha is considered incomplete without vermilion. That’s why, in the worship of Sankashti Chaturthi, make sure to do Tilak of Lord Ganesha with vermilion.
  • Durva: They are pleased by offering Durva grass to God. You must offer 21 or 11 Durva grass in worship. This not only pleases Bappa, but also fulfills all the wishes of the devotees.
  • banana: God likes banana very much. But keep in mind that bananas should always be offered in pairs to Ganesha in worship. Means offer 2, 4 or 6 bananas. A banana should never be offered to Lord Ganesha.
