After Vinesh Phogat, now London Olympic medalist Yogeshwar Dutt has started a verbal spat with Bajrang, once his disciple. Bajrang had accused Yogeshwar of deliberately asking him to lose the bout on several occasions. Yogeshwar has called these allegations false.
Yogeshwar-Bajrang talks closed since 2018
Yogeshwar said that in the 2016 Olympic qualification trials, both of us were in the 65 weight category, but they did not face each other. Bajrang lost to Amit Dhankar in the semi-finals. He faced Amit in the final. Bajrang and I had a fight in the Pro Wrestling League, in which he won 3-0. He always took Bajrang with him on foreign tours for preparation. Despite this, Bajrang is tarnishing his image by making such allegations against him.
According to Yogeshwar, in 2018, Bajrang told him to let me play in the Commonwealth Games and he himself should go to the Asian Games. On this he said that he would like to come through trial. After that he got angry and we stopped talking to each other. Yogeshwar said that after 2016, he did not participate in any tournament or camp. He quit wrestling after 2018.
