The Delhi Police has conducted a preliminary inquiry against Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Singh and a charge sheet will be presented against him in the court. There are no serious allegations against him in this charge sheet. The most serious allegation against Brij Bhushan was sexual abuse of a minor wrestler, but the minor wrestler has withdrawn his allegations. Because of this, the FIR lodged against him under the POCSO Act will be withdrawn. The remaining six wrestlers will be prosecuted on charges of sexual abuse, but in this case also no concrete evidence has been found against them. There is no video against him. No video has been given to the police by the wrestlers or the wrestling association. Only photographs have been made available, in which Brij Bhushan Singh is seen. This does not prove any crime on their part. In this context, the way has now been cleared for Brij Bhushan Singh to get a clean chit.

The country’s top wrestlers sat on the Pahawan dharna for the first time on 18 January and started the dharna for the second time on 23 April. After this the wrestlers faced the weather, clashed with the police. There was also an FIR against the wrestlers, but the protests continued. However, after a meeting between the wrestlers and Home Minister Amit Shah, the story changed and the wrestlers returned to work. Even after this, his protest continued. Now after the Delhi Police investigation, the allegations of the wrestlers have been proved to be hollow and it is almost certain that Brij Bhushan will get a clean chit. Let us understand how this whole showdown started and how the way was cleared for Brijbhun to get a clean chit?
