Surya Dev Puja Method
Wake up early in the morning on Sunday and take bath and wear clean clothes. Do not wear black and dark colored clothes on this day. After this, take pure and clean water in a pot and mix Roli, Lala flower, Akshat, sugar, sandalwood etc. in it and offer Arghya to Sun God and take a vow of fasting on Sunday.
After this prepare a post for worship. Place a red colored cloth in the post and install the picture of Sun God. Offer roli, akshat, supari, flowers etc. to God. Offer fruits and sweets and then show incense. Now read or listen to Sunday’s fasting story. In the end, definitely do aarti of Sun God.
Sunday Rules (Ravivar Rules)
- One should get up before sunrise on Sunday.
- Avoid salt on Sunday.
- Stay away from meat and alcohol on this day.
- Don’t cut hair and beard on Sunday.
- On this day, oil massage should also not be done in the body.
- Do not buy and sell things related to copper metal today.
- Do not do work related to burning milk (extracting ghee etc.).
- Do not wear grey, black, blue and dark colored clothes today.
