Dal Bukhara Recipe: Dal is one of the favorite food item of Indian people.. Indian plate looks incomplete without it. There are many varieties of dal like dal tadka, dal makhani, dal gosht, arbi dal, plain dal, etc. All these dals are very tasty and nutritious but if you are tired of eating all this variety and want to give something to the guests. If you want to feed new and good then do not take tension.. We have come up with a new recipe for you, whose name is Dal Bukhara. This is a Punjabi dish which has a very creamy texture. It has the flavor of butter, ghee and cream, once you must try it.. Guests will become your fan after eating, know the recipe to make it.
Material
- One whole urad dal
- tomato paste
- half cup fresh cream
- 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 cup ghee
- Half teaspoon turmeric powder
- a spoonful of butter
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- two bay leaves
- salt to taste.
How to make Dal Bukhara
- To make Dal Bukhara, first wash the urad dal and soak it for 4 hours.
- Now put the pulses in a pressure cooker, add salt and turmeric and close the cooker by adding two cups of water to it.
- When the dal takes four to five whistles, turn off the gas and open the lid and stir the dal well, mash it.
- Now put ghee in a pan and apply tempering of cumin and bay leaves.
- Then add ginger garlic paste to it and fry for a while.
- Make tomato paste and roast it for some time by adding paste in the tempering.
- Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder to it and cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Now mix boiled lentils in it and then add some water, salt and let it cook for 20 minutes, so that the lentils get cooked well.
- After 20 minutes, remove the lid and stir the dal and add garam masala and let it cook for a while.
- Now after 10 minutes turn off the gas and put butter on top. Garnish it with cream and coriander leaves.
- Your Dal Bukhara is ready, serve it with hot rotis or naan.
