Due to these defects, there are problems related to children, there is disturbance in married life. It is said that by harming these trees, poverty resides in the house. The rich also comes on the verge of poverty.

Twigs of sycamore and castor tree should be used for Holika Dahan. Wherein those who can also use the wood of a dry tree. Use a pot made of cow dung in the upper part of Holika. It is considered good for the environment.

- It is a religious belief that the couple who have only one child (son) should not light the fire of Holika Dahan. It is not considered auspicious.
- Holika Dahan is done only during Pradosh period without Bhadra. This year, the auspicious time for Holika Dahan will be from 6:23 to 8:51 on March 7.
- It is said that newly married women should not see Holika Dahan. Along with this, the first Holi should be celebrated in one’s maternal home.
- Borrowing money on the day of Holika Dahan can cost you a lot on the financial front. This leads to loss of money and the money given to someone does not come back.
