According to a study published in BMC Geriatrics, any 10 minutes of physical activity after sitting for some time can save you from the risk of death due to these diseases. It has been found in many researches that sitting in the same position for a long time increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.
This study has been done by researchers from Finland’s Oulu University Hospital and the Medical Research Center of Oulu University. Researchers have concluded that daily physical activity can reduce the risk of heart diseases in older people. In this study, it has also been told that how much danger can arise due to not doing physical activity. According to the study, every 10 minutes of light physical activity was associated with a 6.5 percent lower mortality rate. While every 10-minute increase in sedentary behavior increased the mortality rate by 5.6 percent.

Sitting for long periods of time can increase the risk of heart disease and deep vein thrombosis. This means that blood clots can form in the veins of your legs. Not only this, they can prove to be more fatal if they reach the rest of the body. Focus on physical activity
Experts say that to avoid this situation, you should keep walking or do any other physical activity in between and reduce the time of sitting. Because sitting for a long time can spoil your health. About 30 percent of the world’s population is like this, they are not very serious about physical activity. Lack of physical activity is seen more in old people than in youth. According to the study, if all the inactive people become active then 50 lakh deaths in a year can be avoided.
