Expansion

The Indian Ministry of Youth Welfare and Sports has given a big gift to the players of the country. The Sports Ministry has increased the expenditure of players and support staff on foreign tours by 66 per cent. Earlier Indian players and support staff used to get $150 (Rs 12,288) per day for lodging and food on foreign tours. Now it has been increased by 66 percent. Now players and their support staff going on foreign tours will get $ 250 (Rs 20,481) for every day expenses.

Giving information about this, the Sports Ministry has said that according to the new rules, now players and support staff will be able to spend up to $ 250 every day on foreign tours. There has been a 66 per cent increase in the cap on the expenditure of support staff for players on foreign tours. This amount will be given only to those players and support staff who will go to participate in international competitions. The Ministry has also informed that assistance is provided to the National Sports Federations under the scheme of the Ministry of Sports. In this episode, this facility will be given to the players and support staff.

There is no plan for cricket players

This scheme is not for cricket players, as the expenses of cricket players are borne by BCCI. Cricket players can also take their families with them on foreign tours and the expenses for this are also borne by the BCCI. Even in the World Cup, the players of Team India go on foreign tours with their families. The daily expenditure incurred by cricketers on foreign tours is more than $250.
