Hiten Tejwani’s film Ardh with actor Rajpal Yadav and actress Rubina Dilaik shows a serious story. Released on Zee5, this one-hour 26-minute film looks out of touch from beginning to end. Ardh Kahani is based on the life of a theater actor. Who played the female role in the theater for many years.

One day suddenly he gets the news of the theater being closed. Meanwhile, he loses his first child due to non-availability of hospital expenses. He finds a way to make a living by becoming a eunuch on the signal. Also, he gives auditions to become a hero in many places. He also works. The wife works as a house helper. Along with the school fees of the son, money is hardly collected to buy vegetables worth Rs 10.

Overall, the account of the personal life of a struggling artist is half. Even capable actors like Rajpal Yadav, Rubina Dilaik and Hitez Tejwani appear lost in Ardh’s screenplay due to weak script and shaky direction. The compulsion of an ordinary man to become a eunuch does not reach your heart. If seen, two serious topics like fake eunuchs, pathetic condition of the actors were seen scattered throughout the film.

Rajpal Yadav puts himself in the lead role but is unable to hold on. Rubina Dilaik’s OTT debut was in vain. He did not get the opportunity to show his talent to the fullest. Seeing Hiten Tejwani also becoming a part of this story, it seemed that his acting as an artist has been washed away in the flow of the story. Although Rajpal Yadav tries his best to somehow drag it to the end. Overall, there is not a single strong side that makes this ZEE5 film stand out. Rubina Dilaik and Rajpal Yadav do not fit on screen as husband and wife. The relationship between the two as a parent and husband and wife has also got a little space in the story through a song.
