Yellow and White Butter: To increase the taste of potato paratha or naan, eating butter on top increases the taste of the mouth. Butter is an essential ingredient in our Indian kitchen and butter is used in a variety of dishes to make it creamy and delicious. You must have come across two types of butter – yellow and white, but do you know the difference between the two? Today in this article we will tell you which butter yellow or white is beneficial for health. People eat both types of butter, what is the difference between yellow and white butter?
Yellow butter, also known as salted butter, is mostly eaten with toast. Due to the high amount of fat in it, the color of butter is yellow. Adding salt to butter increases its shelf life and makes it last longer. Yellow butter is processed and contains a high amount of trans-fats which makes it high in calories as well. If consumed in excess, yellow butter can increase the sodium level of the body, which can cause problems for people with high cholesterol levels.
White butter, also known as makhan, is a natural, unprocessed version of butter and contains healthy fats. It can be easily made at home with the help of sour cream. Buttermilk is a by-product that you get during the process of converting cream into butter. Buttermilk is extremely beneficial for your stomach and even helps in weight loss. After making white butter, it can be used to make ghee at home. Butter has a shorter shelf life as compared to yellow butter, but it can last longer if kept in the freezer.
