India is assured of two medals in the Women’s World Boxing Championships. Commonwealth Games champion boxer Neetu Ghanghas (48kg) and Olympic medalist Lovlina have entered the semi-finals. Neetu assured India’s first medal in this ongoing tournament in India on Wednesday and Lovlina decided the second medal in the night. The 22-year-old boxer from Haryana, Neetu, secured herself and at least a bronze medal for India with a second round RSC (Referee Stop Contest) win over Japan’s Madoka Wada in their quarterfinal bout. Apart from these two, the country is also expecting a medal from Nikhat Zareen.
