Women’s World Boxing Championships Live: Neetu became champion
Neetu won the gold medal in the 45 to 48 kg weight category by defeating the Mongolian wrestler. Neetu has defeated Lutsaikhan of Mongolia. The match was very exciting and it was difficult for the spectators to guess the winner till the end. Even before the result of the match was announced, both the wrestlers were ready to celebrate the victory, but in the end the Indian wrestler won and the Mongolian wrestler was disappointed.

Women’s World Boxing Championships Live: Neetu’s game improved in this championship
Opposite Neetu, a two-time World Youth and Birmingham Commonwealth Games winner, will be Mongolia’s Altantsetseg Lutsaikhan, a two-time Asian Championships bronze medalist. Neetu looks confident of winning her maiden World Championship gold. She says that she has improved a lot in her game during this championship. Earlier, she used to fight only one way (counter attack), but now she has started playing close. Against top seed Alua of Kazakhstan, she played in a similar manner in which she got success.

Women’s World Boxing Championships Live: Chance to repeat 17 years of success
Indian women boxers have a chance to repeat the success of 17 years ago. Indian boxers won four gold medals in the 2006 World Championship held in Delhi itself. This time too, four of its boxers are in the finals – Neetu (48), Nikhat Zareen (50), Lovlina (75) and Sweety Boora (81). Neetu and Sweety will fight for the gold on Saturday, while Nikhat and Lovlina will play the finals on Sunday.
