Indian Railways: June, this is the month when Vande Bharat Express train will pass through every state of the country. This is what Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has to say. He claims that by the end of the year 2024, Vande Bharat Express, a train made on state-of-the-art indigenous technology in India, will cover 200 cities. This train will pass through every state and route of the country.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Indian Railways is also considering the operation of Vande Bharat Metro train. Vaishnav told reporters after a two-day brainstorming camp or brainstorming session organized by his ministry that the Vande Metro design trainset has been finalised.

Why the camp was organized
According to the official statement, the aim of the Chintan Shivir was to brainstorm on finding new ways. Besides this, innovative ideas were to be adopted to commission more tracks every year, higher loading per day and to achieve zero accidents. The focus of the camp was to review the work of the Ministry of Railways and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Told to increase the speed of the train
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav emphasized on rail safety and adoption of new technologies. He asked the officials to consider increasing the train speed to 160 kmph for half of the Indian Railways network. The Railway Minister asked the officials to devise a way to meet the needs of 11 billion passengers annually and decongest the railway network.
