People being pulled out of the debris of the building
According to the news agency Reuters report, officials said that 16 complexes in Sanliurfa and 34 in Osmania have collapsed. Broadcasters TRT and Haberturk showed videos of people being pulled from the rubble of buildings, stretchers being carried and searches for survivors in the city of Kahramanmaras.
More than 50 aftershocks occurred within 10 hours
The CNN report said that the governor of Sanliurfa, Salih Ahan, said that at least 12 people had died in his province alone. Officials counted more than 50 aftershocks within the first 10 hours after the initial disaster. He warned that this situation may continue for many more days.
