Will get fast charging option
Recently, Tata Motors had told about the upcoming Tiago EV Cruise feature. Now the company had revealed some more features of it. In this, Tata Motors has confirmed that the upcoming Tata Tiago EV will come with fast charging capabilities. Like the Tigor EV, a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery can be found in it.
The Tigor EV takes about an hour to charge the battery up to 80% with the help of a DC fast charger. The Tiago is expected to offer a range of around 300 kms on a single charge with this battery pack. The company can also use options with 21.5 kW and 16.5 kW battery capacity in it. These are used in the commercial EV Tata Express-T. The power output of Express-T is 40.43 bhp and torque of 105 Nm.
Equipped with connected technology
Interestingly, Tata Motors has also confirmed that the Tiago EV will be equipped with connected car technology. Tata’s Z Connect technology will be used in the EV. This technology also supports smartwatch connectivity. Tata has also revealed that the Tiago EV will come with premium leather seats, which can be used on the top variant.
Earlier, Tata had revealed that the electric hatchback will get cruise control and multimode regeneration function. The regeneration function takes kinetic energy from the car’s braking system into electric power, which helps charge the electric car’s battery. The regeneration mode can be found on the dashboard below the infotainment system.
Tata Tiago Electric price may start from around Rs 9 lakh, ex-showroom. At the same time, the price of its top variant can be around 12 to 13 lakh rupees. If seen in the market right now, there is no car in this category to compete with it. Let us tell you that Tata Motors wants to launch electric vehicles in all three categories, hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs.
There will not be much difference in the design of Tata Tiago and Tiago EV. The Tiago EV can be made available in Signature Teal Blue and Daytona Grey. The company is using both these colors as standard in its electric vehicles. Apart from this, blue accent will also be used in many places in the car.
