Tae-ho (Song Joong-ki) is a pilot of the spaceship Victory, which is led by a captain (Kim Tae-ri). Tae-ho will do anything to make money, but he always ends up broke. Tiger Park (Jin Seon-kyu) and a robot (Yoo Hae-jin) are the crew members of the spaceship.
“’Space Sweepers’ is mostly based on our imagination and the characters’ story is no different from our own. They worry about paying interest on loans and utility bills and eat rice with soybean stew. They are not heroes in fancy suits, but just ordinary Korean citizens flying into space,” said director Jo.
