G20 Kashmir Meeting: Despite having good relations with India, Saudi Arabia’s love for Pakistan has awakened once again. Saudi Arabia has refused to attend the ongoing three-day G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Even before the meeting, Pakistan had appealed to many Muslim countries not to participate in this summit. Apart from Saudi Arabia, China and Turkey have also not participated in this summit.
Significantly, in the recent past, Saudi Arabia’s relations with India had improved, but now once again relations are seen to be sour. However, till now Saudi Arabia has not given the reason for not attending the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting. Although it is being linked to the Kashmir issue. This is not the first time that Saudi Arabia has supported Pakistan on the Kashmir issue.
Saudi has told Jammu and Kashmir separate from India
Earlier in the year 2020, when Saudi presided over the G-20 Summit, the map printed on the special currency issued for the G-20 Summit had described Jammu and Kashmir as separate from India. Although even then India had expressed strong displeasure. As a result, Saudi Arabia had to change this currency. In such a situation, this currency of Saudi is going viral once again. On social media, users are giving feedback about Saudi Arabia.
Saudi currency getting viral on social media
It can be seen in the viral photo on social media that on one side of the currency is the photo of Saudi King Salman. On the other side is the logo of Saudi G-20. On the other side of the currency is the world map. In which Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh are shown separately from India. Just on this attitude of Saudi Arabia, the users are furious. Even in the year 2020, the Government of India had given a strong reaction to Saudi Arabia on its actions.
