Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be at the bottom of Royal Enfield’s portfolio in terms of price and weight. The RE Hunter 350 is a modern version of a retro bike and all the design elements and finishes reflect just that. It gets round headlights, round taillights, round mirrors, fork gaiters and offset speedo meter like TVS Ronin.
Apart from this, the bike gets curvy and swoopy fuel tank and many other retro bike credentials. Adding to the modern vibes is a blacked-out finish on the engine bay and wheels. The fuel tank and side body panels have contrasting colours, though the blacked-out engine bay has been beautifully placed.
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 gets a massive 13-litre fuel tank, which has been given the big ‘Royal’ branding and ‘Royal Enfield’ branding. Although this style is exclusive to one of the color schemes of the Metro variant. That’s because another Metro variant surfaced, which features a chic white fuel tank with not-too-shouty graphics.
Royal Enfield is clearly going towards the ‘urban roadster’ appeal, but with a set of block pattern tyres, it could end up as a scrambler-style bike as well. Let us tell you that Siddharth Lal recently showed a glimpse of the Metro variant, which has a tripper navigation screen.
However, it will be offered as an option. The difference between both the Metro and Retro variants of the motorcycle can be seen only after the launch. Both these variants will be launched on August 7. The retro variant gets spoke wheels, rear drum brake, single-channel ABS, old switchgear, basic speedo, halogen taillights and oval turn indicators.
The retro variant weighs 177 kg, while the metro variant weighs 181 kg. Apart from this, the Metro variant gets alloy wheels, disc brakes (300 mm / 270 mm), dual channel ABS, LED tail lamps, round turn indicators and modern switch gear borrowed from the Meteor. The top speed of this bike is 114 km/h.
Both the variants get a ground clearance of around 150 mm and a seat height of 800 mm. Factory Black and Factory Silver color options are available in Retro variants. The Metro variant also gets dapper white and dapper ash colours. Talking about the price, it can be lowered from Rs 1.3 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh.
