Residential Units Sale Increased 4.5 Percent In 8 Cities Of India,…

Property Sale: During the April-June quarter this year, housing sales in eight cities grew 4.5 times year-on-year to 74,330 units. At the same time, the demand for houses was five percent higher than the previous quarter of January-March. Last year, 15,968 houses were sold in the April-June period and in the January-March quarter of 2022, the figure stood at 70,623 units.

Ahmedabad
According to the data, housing sales in Ahmedabad increased to 7,240 units in the April-June quarter of this year from 1,280 units in the year-ago period. Sales in the January-March quarter this year stood at 5,550 units and the recent sales figures are 30 per cent higher.

Bangalore
Housing sales in Bengaluru increased by nine per cent to 8,350 units during April-June as compared to the previous quarter. 7,670 units were sold in the previous quarter. Whereas in the year-ago period only 1,590 units were sold.

Chennai
Housing sales in Chennai increased to 3,220 units in April-June, 2022 from 710 units in the same period last year. However, recent sales were down two per cent from 3,300 units in January-March 2022.

Delhi-NCR
Sales in the Delhi-NCR market during April-June this year increased by 60 per cent to 4,520 units as against 2,830 units in the year-ago period. Sales in the previous quarter were 5,010 units.

Sales of residential properties increased to 7,910 units in April-June 2022 from 2,430 units in the year-ago period. This is 21 per cent higher than the 6,560 units sold in January-March 2022.

Kolkata
In Kolkata, sales more than doubled to 3,220 units during April-June 2022 from 1,250 units in the same period last year. This was 13 per cent higher than the 2,860 units sold in the January-March quarter of 2022.

Mumbai
Housing sales in Mumbai increased manifold to 26,150 units during April-June 2022 from only 3,380 units in the same period last year. This was 12 per cent higher than the 23,360 units sold in the previous quarter.

Pune
Pune sold 13,720 units in April-June 2022, compared to 2,500 units in the year-ago period. This was 16 per cent higher than the 16,310 units sold in January-March 2022.
