Recipe: Quickly Make Spongy Appe With Gram Flour, Note The Recipe

Besan Appe Recipe: You must have eaten appe in breakfast at some point or the other. Appe is a South Indian dish which is eaten with great fervor all over India. Usually appes are made from semolina but did you know that appes can be made easily with gram flour too. If you like South Indian food then this recipe can prove to be of great use to you. You can easily make Besan Appe at your home. So let’s know the easy recipe of Very Tasty and Healthy Besan Ke Appe.

Ingredients to make Appe

  • 1/2 cup besan
  • 2 tbsp semolina
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped red capsicum
  • 1 finely chopped yellow bell pepper
  • 1 finely chopped capsicum
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped beans
  • 1 finely chopped green chili
  • finely chopped coriander
  • 1 tablespoon
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp curd
  • salt to taste

how to make appe

To make appe, first mix gram flour in curd and mix it well. Reduce the thickness by adding a little water to this solution and now mix all the finely chopped vegetables together in this batter of gram flour. Add salt, red chili powder and eno in the last vegetable and gram flour mixture and mix well. Now make the appe in the mold by following the steps given below.

  • Heat the appe pan.
  • Pour the batter on each mold of the appe pan.
  • Cover the appe with a lid for 2 minutes on low flame of gas.
  • Now, pouring a little oil on each appe, turn it over.
  • Let them cook for some time, then remove them from the appe pan and serve hot with tomato sauce.
