Chandigarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address public meetings in Punjab on February 14, 16 and 17 to give edge to the NDA’s election campaign. Under this, Malwa, Doaba and Majha areas will be covered. A BJP leader gave this information on Wednesday. Elections to the 117-member Punjab assembly are going to be held on February 20. State BJP General Secretary Subhash Sharma said that the Prime Minister will address three public meetings on February 14, 16 and 17 to give edge to the NDA’s campaign in Punjab.
He told that the Prime Minister will address the first public meeting in Jalandhar on February 14, the second in Pathankot on February 16 and the third in Abohar on February 17. In this way, the Prime Minister will cover all the three regions of the state – Jalandhar in Doaba, Pathankot in Majha and Abohar in Malwa, he said. Sharma claimed, “Prime Minister’s public meetings will change the political atmosphere in the state and boost the morale of all the NDA candidates contesting the elections.” Modi had held his first rally in the state through digital medium on February 8.
