Petrol-Diesel Price Today 6th August 2022: The government oil companies of the country have released the rates of petrol and diesel for Saturday. There is no change in the prices of petrol and diesel today.
Crude oil prices continue to fall in the international market. Brent crude is around $94 per barrel. Also, except Delhi, the price of petrol in the metros of Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata is still above Rs 100.
Exide duty reduced on May 21
The Modi government at the Center had reduced the Exide Duty on petrol and diesel for the last time on 21 May. Petrol became cheaper by Rs 9.50 and diesel by Rs 7 per liter across the country. After the decision of the central government, many states gave relief to the general public by reducing VAT.

Cheapest petrol and diesel is being sold in Port Blair. Petrol is being sold at Rs 84.10 and diesel at Rs 79.74 per liter in Port Blair. Recently, the Maharashtra government had given a relief of Rs 5 per liter on petrol and Rs 3 per liter on diesel.
