Pakistani Media on J&K G20 Meeting: Pakistan is infuriated by the meeting of the G-20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) being held in Srinagar, the capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The media there is also publishing biased and misleading news regarding this. Pakistan protested the G-20 meeting here, calling Jammu and Kashmir a disputed area, after which 5 countries including China and Pakistan did not participate in the meeting.
Most of the discussion in the Pakistani media is about not attending the G-20 meeting of the brotherly Islamic countries of Kashmir and Pakistan, Turkey (Turkey) and Egypt (Egypt). Pakistan’s well-known newspaper ‘The Nation’ in its editorial has described Turkey, Egypt and Indonesia’s non-participation in the G-20 as a ‘positive development’. ‘The Nation’ has written that this setback was very important for India’s plans and it shows that the world is concerned about the future of Kashmiris.
‘The people of the world are with the oppressed people of Kashmir’
Several Pakistani newspapers wrote, “China, which is poised to become the world’s largest economy, and Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, have shown that they are with the oppressed people of Kashmir by not attending the G-20 meeting. At the same time, Pak media wrote – “It is frightening to promote Srinagar as a tourist destination and meeting venue.”
‘The news of atrocities on Muslims was not shown’
Pakistan’s leading newspaper “Dawn” termed the G-20 meeting in Srinagar as gross violation of international laws and UN Security Council resolutions. A Pakistani newspaper wrote – “Countless Kashmiris have been killed in Indian-occupied Kashmir and no news is being shown about the atrocities on Muslims there. The G-20 conference there will be normalised.
The News International portal wrote that amid the tense situation between India and Pakistan, a meeting of the G-20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) is being held in Srinagar with tight security. India has been alleging that Pakistan conducts terrorist attacks in Kashmir, that’s why such tight security has been done.
These 5 countries did not participate
