Imran Khan Minar-e-Pakistan Rally: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan praised India in his public meeting. Imran attacked the Shehbaz Sharif-led government on the issue of price rise. He said that the inflation rate in India is 6% whereas in Pakistan it has become 31%. Here people are not even getting flour and pulses. People have become dependent on food and drink.
Imran said at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan rally, “Our country is standing on the verge of ruin. There is a need to boost the economy. We do not have enough dollars, when exports increase, the flow of dollars will also increase.”
During his speech to a crowd of thousands at the same rally, Imran presented his party’s roadmap for improving governance and increasing exports, claiming that his vision would pave the way for the country’s economic prosperity.
PTI rally despite warnings
Imran’s rally in Minar-e-Pakistan was warned by the Punjab government there, but despite this the rally was organized yesterday by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). While calling upon the people to gather for this rally, Imran had said that this would be his biggest rally ever and would break all the records till now. When people gathered, Imran started giving speech.
‘Tough decisions have to be taken for the country’
Imran said during his speech that the country needs to take tough decisions to improve governance and increase exports. Imran said that Pakistan is not able to collect enough tax, as a result of which the dollar starts decreasing and it exceeds the inflow of average dollar collection. He said that if exports increase, the flow of dollars will also increase in our country. He also stressed on the need for complete reform in governance to achieve economic prosperity.
‘Pak needs surgery’
The PTI chief said that a “surgery” was needed to put the house in order in Pakistan, and if it was done, foreign Pakistanis would bring their dollars into the country. He suggested to encourage foreign Pakistanis to invest and propose VIP status for exporters.
