Pakistani News: The difficulties of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan are increasing day by day. Imran has now been booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act in connection with the murder of a Supreme Court lawyer. His party gave this information on Wednesday (June 7).
Supreme Court lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar was shot dead on Tuesday (06 June) in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. He was shot dead by unknown assailants when he was on his way to the Provincial High Court. Lawyer Shar’s son Siraj Ahmed lodged an FIR on Tuesday alleging that his father was killed at the behest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chairman Khan.
Deceased Vakil’s son filed a case
The PTI party confirmed in a WhatsApp message that 70-year-old Khan was named in the FIR lodged at Shaheed Jameel Kakar police station in the city. According to the copy of the FIR shared by the party, the complainant told the police that his father had lodged a case against Khan. After which he was getting threats.
He said, “I have named Imran Khan in the FIR because my father was being threatened at his behest.” Shar filed a constitutional petition against Khan and former deputy speaker Qasim Suri in the Balochistan High Court for proceedings under Article 6. Which related to high treason for illegally dissolving the National Assembly in April 2022. Then the joint opposition presented a no-confidence motion against the PTI government.
PTI spokesperson rejected the claim
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s aide Attaullah Tarar had alleged that Shar was killed at Khan’s behest to escape accountability in a treason case. However, PTI spokesman Rauf Hasan rejected the claim and instead accused Prime Minister Sharif and Home Minister Rana Sanaullah of plotting the assassination.
Earlier in March too, Imran’s supporters were protesting on the streets. Which took a violent form, in this incident one of the PTI supporters was killed, while many workers were injured. After which the police had registered an FIR against former PM Imran and other leaders under serious sections.
