The OnePlus 10R 5G is available in two models – 80W or 150W charging. There are two variants of the 80W model in which one comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, it is priced at Rs 38,999. The second one comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage which is priced at Rs 42,999. Its 150W Endurance Edition is priced at Rs 43,999 and comes in 256GB storage with 12GB of RAM. The 150W charging model packs a 4,500mAh battery, while the 80W model packs a 5,000mAh battery.
In my view, it would be better to take its Endurance Edition than its regular 12GB model. The OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) only comes in Seira Black finish, without the Forest Green option that is available on the regular model.

The OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) looks similar to its regular model. Their weight is also 186 grams. It is quite a lightweight mid premium range smartphone, as it has a polycarbonate frame and back panel. Wireless charging is not provided in this series of the company as seen in other smartphones of this segment. One reason for the phone’s slim 8.2mm size is also the lack of wireless charging. The design of the phone has been made keeping in mind the smartphones of today. Its sides are flat, straight in line and the edges are sharp. It is quite unique and looks different from other handsets of the company. Prior to this, OnePlus X, which came in 2015, was the only smartphone, which similarly looked completely different from the company’s lineup.
Like the frame in the OnePlus 10R 5G (150W), the back panel has a matte finish, but the left half has a pinstripe pattern that can be seen from the glass portion of the rear camera module. The back panel and frame do not leave fingerprints at all, but the camera module picks up dust and smudges very quickly and gets dirty within minutes of use. It’s not easy to clean either.

Overall, it can be said that OxygenOS is quite clean and easy to use.

The software performance of the OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) was smooth in regular use. I did not find any lag while opening apps and multitasking. Its 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED panel has a 120Hz refresh rate. Colors look punchy and the display is easily readable even in direct sunlight. Streaming movies on the OnePlus 10R 5G was a great experience, but when I tested it, I couldn’t do HDR streaming on Netflix on the phone. Regular content looks good and the stereo speakers sound loud and balanced.
Talking about the benchmarks, the phone meets the competition in the market. The phone scored 6,95,094 points on AnTuTu. It scored 881 and 3,567 respectively in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests. In T-Rex and Car Chase on GFXBench, the phone maintained 60fps and 44fps respectively. The gaming performance of the phone was good. The phone did not get too hot even when playing games like Call of Duty: Mobile or Asphalt 9 Legends on high graphics settings. Being a premium smartphone, Asphalt 9 Legend could not be played at 60fps. These features are also available on devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The display’s 120Hz touch sampling rate is adequate. The OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) comes with a 160W charger that charges the device from zero to 100% in 19 minutes. OnePlus claimed 17 minutes for this, which is pretty close to it. Rapid charging mode has to be enabled by going to the phone’s battery settings, by default it is turned off. After enabling, you will see a warning on the screen which says – Your device will fast charge, but it may get a bit hot during charging. In my experience, the phone got a little hot but not so much that it could not be touched.
The company has also given a special feature for battery health in this so that both the phone and the battery remain fine. Named as the Battery Health Engine, it only comes with the 150W model. According to OnePlus, this has been given to maintain the battery life for a long time.
OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) went on for a day and a half even after gaming and heavy usage. The phone clocked 18 hours and 9 minutes in the HD video loop test, which is a good thing for a premium smartphone.
Cameras of OnePlus 10R 5G (150W)
The main camera on the OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) is Sony’s tried-and-tested 50-megapixel IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization. Apart from OnePlus 9RT and OnePlus 9 Pro, this camera has also been seen as an ultrawide sensor of OnePlus. The primary camera of the phone captures crisp and clear photos in daylight. Dynamic range and detail are good in the photo. The closeup shots of the photo were sharp and looked slightly saturated. The ultrawide camera takes decent photos but in daylight the dynamic range and color tone were slightly different from the primary camera. The details were less towards the edge and there was a slight barrel distortion.
The subject was overexposed while taking a selfie during the day time and the dream-like effect was visible in the photo. The photos weren’t too sharp or detailed. Switching to portrait mode in the selfie camera, the details remained the same but edge detection was good. Shots from the macro camera were average. Sometimes they were coming good and sometimes they were being missed.
When using Auto mode in low light, the camera automatically took long exposure shots when needed. Here the shots taken with the primary camera were quite good. Noise was under control, but some small highlights were not exposed well near a large light source. Nightscape mode took longer exposures and photos came out brighter with decent detail and dynamic range. Photos from the ultra wide camera were a bit blurry but were usable. Selfies taken in low-light were average in quality and there was a lot of noise in photos taken with portrait mode.
Video captured in 1080p with the OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) was decent in daylight. It had good dynamic range but comparatively less details. I used the AI ​​Highlight feature in bright scenes (which only works in 1080p up to 30fps) but the footage was shaking. Videos captured at 60fps (1080p or 4K) were slightly smoother but lacked stabilization. Selfie videos were sharp at 1080p and 30fps but the background blown-out when captured in front of light.
The quality of the video in low-light was quite impressive, in which the noise was also low. There was a slight lack of stabilization in it. The AI ​​Highlight feature brightened up the night video a bit but added a lot of noise. Then I found it better to capture in regular mode only.

There are many things you will love in the OnePlus 10R 5G (150W Endurance Edition), unless you are a big OnePlus fan. Those looking to make a brand new shift and upgrade to OnePlus for the first time can’t miss out on its iconic alert slider. The phone flaunts a crisp 120Hz fluid AMOLED display, plenty of processing power for heavy games, the main camera that works well in low light, good battery life, and a 150W charging system that works as claimed.
A OnePlus fan will find its absence slider and the company’s hand feel a little different. Whether the design of the phone looks good or bad may depend on it, but I did not like its sharp edges as it did not feel so comfortable to hold. At Rs 43,999, it didn’t even feel that premium.
When it comes to competition in the market, you have a lot to choose from. iQoo’s 9 SE is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and has a pretty decent camera system, which comes for Rs 33,990. There is the Xiaomi 11T Pro which comes for Rs 38,999 and has Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, apart from 108MP camera and 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging feature. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is also an option which is a premium smartphone with wireless charging and IP68 rating as well. Then there is the Realme GT Neo 3 which is similar to the OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) in terms of hardware but is Rs 1000 cheaper than it.
