Nepal Kalapani News: Former Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli claimed that his government had published a new map of Nepal adding Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh, due to which he was removed from power last year. The Lipulekh Pass is the far westernmost point near Kalapani and is also a disputed border area between India and Nepal. At the same time, both India and Nepal consider Kalapani as their integral part. India describes it as part of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand and Nepal as part of Dharchula district.

On the occasion of the release of the book ‘Chakravyuh Ma Nepal Ko Jalsource’ written in Nepali language, KP Oli said, “There can be no dispute that all these areas including Kalapani are part of Nepal, because between Nepal and East India Company.
