India Nepal Relations: The closeness of the Nepalese Army with the Chinese Army is increasing rapidly. This also becomes important because the Prime Minister of Nepal Pushp Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is going to visit India, but just before Dahal’s visit to India, the Nepali army has given a big blow.
In fact, Nepal’s army is going to buy 26 armored vehicles worth 6 billion Nepali rupees from China’s Norinco company. These armored vehicles will be used by Nepali Army personnel in peacekeeping missions in different countries. Apart from this, Nepali Army is also going to buy 10,000 CQ rifles from Norinco Company. The vehicles that Nepal’s army is buying made in China are more expensive than those of the Indian company.

Please inform that China’s Norinco is the same company which has been blacklisted by the US government. The Nepal Army is going to get 26 armored vehicles from China through the Nepal Army Welfare Fund and the deal was decided by the then Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba himself.

Nepal Army Chief General Prabhu Ram Sharma said that the army does not need any weapons at this time, but the army may need some vehicles. He told that the Nepalese army has a sufficient stock of weapons.

While the cost of an armored vehicle in India is Rs 4 crore, the same Chinese vehicle costs Rs 7.7 crore. PM Prachanda has summoned the Defense Minister for this deal and said not to do this deal just before the tour of India. Prachanda said that the economic condition of the country is not good. This is not the right time to buy weapons.
Nepal’s Foreign Ministry told that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is coming to India on Wednesday (May 31) on a four-day official visit. During this, he will hold talks with his Indian counterpart PM Narendra Modi and other leaders to further strengthen multi-faceted bilateral relations.
