Narsingh Chaturdashi 2022: According to Hindu scriptures, Narasimha Jayanti or Narasimha Chaturdashi is celebrated every year on the Chaturdashi date of Shukla of Vaishakh month. This time this date will fall on May 14. It is believed that on this date Lord Vishnu took the incarnation of Narasimha to protect the devotee Prahlad. Lord Vishnu took the form of half lion and half human in Narasimha avatar. That is why this form of God was called as Narasimha.
