The prices of Hector’s petrol and diesel powertrain variants have been hiked between Rs 20,000 and Rs 28,000. The highest increase has been made up to Rs 28,000 in the Style and Shine trims, while the Smart trims have received an increase of up to Rs 20,000. After which its starting price will be Rs 14.43 lakh, ex-showroom instead of 14.15 lakh. At the same time, the price of its top variant will be Rs 20.36 lakh.
The 6-seater of Hector Plus has been increased by Rs 25,000 and the 7-seater version by Rs 28,000. However, there has been no price hike for the 7-seater style petrol manual variant along with the 6-seater super diesel variant. After which its starting price will be Rs 18.90 lakh, ex-showroom instead of 18.65 lakh. At the same time, the price of its top variant will be Rs 20.35 lakh.
While the variant line-up of Aster has received a uniform hike of Rs 10,000 across all the variants, there has been no price hike for the Aster EX variant that was launched in July 2022. After which its starting price will be Rs 10.32 lakh, ex-showroom. At the same time, the price of its top variant will be Rs 18.13 lakh. MG Aster was officially launched in India on October 11, 2021. It was introduced at a starting price of Rs 9.78 lakh (ex-showroom).
While MG is gearing up to launch the Hector facelift, it will also launch the entry-level EX variants of the Hector and Hector Plus. This variant will only be available with a petrol or petrol-hybrid powertrain with a 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox option.
MG Hector Engine
Petrol and diesel engine options are available in MG Hector. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit comes mated to a 6-speed MT and an optional 8-speed CVT gearbox. The petrol engine produces 140 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. At the same time, its 2-litre diesel engine generates 167 bhp and 350 newton meters of power. Which is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
MG Hector Plus Features
The SUV gets skid plates, an all-LED lighting setup, a powered tailgate and a wide air dam. Its interior gets the option of six and seven-seater cabin. In addition, it gets a large sunroof, a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment panel, powered front seats, a 360-degree-view camera and six airbags.
MG Aster Engine
This SUV is available with a choice of 1.5-litre petrol and 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engines. The first engine produces 110 Bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque, while the second engine produces 140 Bhp of power and 220 Nm of torque. With both the engines, the option of 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox is made available.
