The company has produced 20,768 units in the mini segment in the month of August, which was 20,332 units in August 2021, in this segment comes the Alto and S-Presso. While 85,205 units of vehicles have been produced in the compact segment, it is the largest contributor to the company’s sales. Under this segment, the company includes Wagon R, Swift, Baleno, Dzire and Celerio.
The company has produced 105,973 units of vehicles in the mini and compact sub categories in the month of July, which was 67,972 units in August 2021. Talking about the mid segment, 2515 units of the company’s Ciaz have been produced in August, which was 3001 units in August 2021. In the month of August, 108,488 units of passenger cars have been produced.
Talking about the UV, Maruti Suzuki has produced 35,697 units of vehicles in August, against 29,965 units in August 2021. In this segment, the company produces Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, Jimny and XL6. In the van segment, the Eeco produced 11,856 units in August, which was 10,430 units in August 2021.
The company has produced a total of 156,041 units of passenger vehicles in the month of August as against 111,368 units in August last. At the same time, the company has produced 3774 units of Super Carry in the month of August, which was 2569 units in August 2021. The company has produced a total of 159,815 units of vehicles in the month of August.
Maruti Suzuki has informed that production has been affected in general due to lack of electronic components. Despite the reduction in production, the company is targeting to deliver 4 million vehicles in the domestic market this fiscal. Maruti Suzuki is getting enough demand and in such a situation, options are being explored to improve production despite the shortage of semiconductors.
On domestic sales, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki said that due to high demand, Maruti Suzuki’s domestic passenger vehicle sales may touch a record high of 40 lakh units. However, like other companies, Maruti Suzuki is also facing a shortage of semiconductors, due to which lakhs of orders are pending.
Maruti Suzuki’s production in August has been lower than in July, although production has improved compared to last year. Now it has to be seen whether the company is able to do this production in the month of September or not.
