Let us tell you that the Scorpio Classic was launched in India on August 14, but the company is going to reveal the prices tomorrow i.e. on August 20. However, the price information has already been revealed through the sources. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic will be available in five colors including Red Rays, Napoli Back, Dsat Silver, Pearl White and a new Galaxy Grey.
Compared to the older generation vehicle, the new Mahindra Scorpio Classic gets design and mechanical updates. The Scorpio Classic comes with a new Mahindra logo. Retaining the unique design of the new Scorpio Classic, it gets an updated front grille, a redesigned bonnet and tweaked bumpers.
Mahindra claims that the new engine is 55 kg lighter and 14 per cent more fuel efficient than the previous model. The Scorpio Classic is powered by the second generation mHawk engine that churns out 130 Bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Mahindra has revamped the suspension setup with MTV-CL technology and revamped the steering system to give better ride and handling. Overall, with the lighter engine, the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic will offer better drive performance than the older model.
Talking about the features, the 2022 Scorpio Classic gets LED headlights, LED DRLs and fog lamps. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels. The SUV gets a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with phone mirroring and smartphone connectivity inside, a two-tone beige-and-black interior, wood inserts on the dash and comfortable seats.
For safety, the Scorpio Classic has engine start/stop, ABS with EBD, two front airbags, rear parking sensors, cruise control. Customers are also being given a test drive of the new Scorpio Classic at select Mahindra dealerships.
Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to sell its Scorpio Classic model not only in India but also in countries like Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa and in such countries Mahindra Scorpio Classic model will be exported from India itself.
