Lalbiakkima: Boxer Lalbiakkima got the first defeat of his professional career, Jason of Philippines defeated

Indian boxer NT Lalbiakkima lost to Jason Wayson of the Philippines in the WBC Asian Boxing Council’s continental light flyweight title match here. World ranked 47th Wayson won by a unanimous decision of the judges in a 10-round bout at the Dubai World Trade Center on Saturday night.

It was the first defeat of Lalbiakkima’s professional career. The three judges ruled in favor of Wyson with 97-94, 97-93 and 96-94. Lalbiakkima, a resident of Mizoram, suffered the loss of his short stature. He tried to make up for it with punches in his right hand but that could not stop Wayson from taking advantage of his tall stature.
