Kymco’s Rider 400 is a naked streetfighter design bike that comes with a very low body panel. All the lighting in this bike is given in LED. The K Rider 400 gets its power from a 399cc parallel twin cylinder oil cooled engine. This engine generates 43.5 bhp power and 37 newton meter peak torque. Let us tell you that this engine is also being used in Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Kawasaki Z400. While all the features of the K Rider 400 are similar to the KTM Duke 390, it gets an increase in weight.

The Kymco Rider 400 weighs 34 kg less than the KTM Duke 390. In terms of equipment, the bike gets inverted telescopic front forks, 7-step adjustable rear mono shock, dual disc at the front, single disc at the rear and standard ABS.

Kimco has ties with brands other than Kawasaki, notably BMW, as it produces engines for the C-series scooters and range-extenders for the Bavarian manufacturer’s i3 electric car. It has also built the engine for the brand’s G450X enduro bike.

As far as the competition is concerned, the major rival of the K Rider 400 is the Duke 390 which is set to get a major upgrade later this year. The upcoming KTM 390 Duke will be offered with updated design, features and specifications.

Talking about the KTM Duke 390, it is powered by a 373.2 cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates 43 bhp power at 9000 rpm and 37 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. This bike is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
